I've been busy the last few days, so did not get the chance to post the
info.
First up: Yes it old, but noteworthy none the less, on Tue night's wind
storm.
Here is a vidcap from WJZ tv ch 13 in Baltimore MD. This now is truly a
tree house, after one fell thru the roof and into the dining room.

WRC tv ch 4 in Washington DC showed video of damage, including this tree
into a roof.

Early Wed am, a wind whipped fire gutted a vacant house, & damaged a
second. Scanner traffic indicated 1 injury. The first police vehicle on
the scene was too close, & had burning debris blowing onto his car.
After power lines started falling, there was an evacuation of the
bystanders in the vicinity.

Spring is bursting at the seams, and these daffodils started coming out
last Fri. Now many are open, (This shot was on Wed).

If you live in the greater Washington DC region, you may have noticed
the pollen count. WRC reports that the pollen count Wed was 136, Thur
was 124, and on Fri only 6, washed out by moderate rain Thur evening.
In my yard, tree blossoms progress at slower rate thanks to cooler than
normal March.

WX Wed 3-14
Early am wind gusts reached 46mph at James Wood HS (Winchester VA) and
Randolph Macon Military Academy (Front Royal VA). My PWG was 32mph at
8:32am.
Generally, the sky was clear/sunny. Cirrus increased in the hours before
dusk. The high was 58.9º (4:14pm), the low was 37.0º (11:46pm). Low
windchill was 12, at 6:32am.

WX Thur 3-15
Overcast skies, then rain arrived about 2:30pm & lasted until about
6:30pm. Lt/Moderate accumulated .33" for the day. Heavy rain fell in the
greater Washington DC region during the "rush" "hour".

My low was 34.4º (3:38am), the high 51.8º (12:35pm). PWG was 13mph,
at 12:39pm.
While rain fell in most areas in the M.A. Thur, above 1500' it was snow.
The NWS received only 1 accumulation report: 1" in Pendleton Co, WV (50
miles northeast of Snowshoe).
This image is from a camera mounted at the Visitor's Center at Big
Meadows along Skyline Drive, south of Luray VA. Snow is on the ground
but has stopped falling. Clouds/fog still obstruct the view. Image from

WX Fri 3-16:
Another overcast day, with a moderate shower about noon, then lots of
fog & drizzle. Rain for the day, .05", for the month is 1.01". Visibilty
down to 2 miles in the afternoon.

The low was 40.8º (6:56pm) the high 44.6º (11:32am). PWG of 15mph
caused the day's low windchill of 29, at 11:09am.
