Fort Myers/Cape Coral is still warm tonight. About three hours ago, the
temperature was 72 degrees Farenheit. Now it is 75 degrees Farenheit. The
wind seems to be picking up. We do have heavy cloud cover. If rain is coming
with the cold front, it will be most welcome. Charlotte, Eastern Lee,
Glades, and Hendry Counties are all carrying very high fire danger index
numbers. There was a fire in wooded country this afternoon in northern
Charlotte County between Port Charlotte and North Port (on border with
Sarasota County) which closed I-75 for four hours today. Richard
