Issued 12/28/00 2:00 PM Here at my location in Plant City I've measured some
appreciable rainfall. In the past 24 hourse the barometric pressure has
fallen from 30.24" to 29.71". It looks like a hard freeze across the central
peninsula and a freeze into Everglades on Sunday 12/31/00 and Monday
01/01/01. Tuesday 01/02/01 and Wednesday 01/03/01 looks even colder.
Unforunately our long and medium range weather outlooks are on track to
verification.
Issued 12/28/00 12:00 AM It's unfortunate but it appears that a devastating
hard freeze is probable into the Everglades of south Florida on Tuesday
01/02/01 and Wednesday 01/03/01. This freeze event will approach the January
1985 event. A lesser freeze event will occur across the central peninsula on
Sunday 12/31/00.
