I am not sure about gusts, but some damage occurred in Bedford county as a
result of the winds. For the second time in several years, a "minute oil
change" shop, just east of Bedford on US 30,in the Mile Level area lost it's
roof (over the waiting area). Several years ago, entire building was pretty
much blown down in a freak November tornado. Damage to the traffic signals
also occurred in this area. Wind is funneled through "the narrows" in which
30, the PA turnpike, and the Raystown branch of the Juniata passes through
the mountain's gap. Also toward Bedford Plaza, an office trailer was
overturned at a construction site just west of the plaza. Didn't get to see
more damage, because I was on my way on a several week trip.
