This morning at 5:30am the wind increased to a 55mph gust on the main
CASI weather station before it BENT the 30-foot heavy metal pole OVER
the porch (see pictures). The station is still transmitting. The
secondary weather station which is somewhat sheltered reported a gust of
53mph. Our previous record was either 47 or 52, for a three year
period. The power has been threatening to go out, we have seen many
transformers flash, and there are shingles in the yard. More later when
it gets light.
