=> Current Atlantic Hurricane Forecast
The national hurricane center is issuing advisories on hurricane Alberto
located about 1300 miles east of the leeward islands. Showers and
thunderstorms associated with a small area of low pressure about 350 miles
southwest of Bermuda have become better organized this morning. Additional
development is possible over the next day or two as the system moves
westward about 10 to 15 mph.
cloudiness and showers in association with a tropical wave continue over
the western Caribbean.. the Yucatan...and Belize. This system is moving over
land...but has some potential for development as it moves west-northwestward
into the southwest Gulf of Mexico in a day or two.
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave extend from Puerto
Rico northward into the Atlantic for several hundred miles. This area has
changed little in organization over the past 24 hours...and further
development should be slow to occur.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through Tuesday.

SPONSORSHIP NOTICE
The Disaster Center reports on Major Disasters in the USA by collecting and
redistributing public information reports. We also provide a means for the
creation of a historic database of these reports, which are often only on
the internet for a short time during a disaster. When The Disaster Center
does it's job well our site serves as a center for obtaining access to
current disaster reports during the disaster. To do this we need access to
current public situation reports. Anything that our readers can do to
provide or promote our access to these reports enables hundreds and
sometimes thousands of people to benieft. If you wish to make a report
please use our message board system. Copies of all messages are sent to the
manager at The Disaster Center. If you supply a report, please provide
access to links for confirmation of the report, if the manager believe it
merits it, a special SitRep may be issued.
