Tropical Storm Emilia has formed in the Eastern Pacific. The coordinates are 17.6 N, 111.0 W... moving northwest at 10 mph. The maximum sustained winds are at 50 mph... with gusts to 65 mph. The minimum central pressure is 1000 millibars.
Through 72 hours, Emilia is forecasted to remain a tropical storm... mostly due to cool ocean temps. It should move northwest... then curve a bit more to the west and away from Mexico.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Daniel continues a west-northwestly motion that takes it right into Hawaii. Daniel is currently a Cat 2... with winds of 105 mph. The current forecast... still has Daniel as a hurricane in 72 hours... but a Cat 1 instead.
