Ahead of a huge storm system, temperatures exploded as high as 90
degrees (Martinsville VA)
in the Mid-Atlantic states, readings which were as high as 37 degrees
above normal. The
morning low at CASI HQ was 61 degrees, which was 37 degrees above the
normal low of 24
degrees. The afternoon high was 80 degrees, 37 degrees above the normal
high of 43 degrees.
A backdoor cold front and cool ocean waters kept temperatures on Long
Island and coastal
new england in the 40's, nearly half of the temperatures in Virginia!

Winds were clocked at over 100mph, causing massive damage in areas of
the plains.
