HISTORY: The original AccuCam (still running as the AccuCam2) was installed in 2005 inside an office @ AccuWeather HQ in State College, PA. The new AccuCam, a Stardot 3XL camera, was installed in 2007 on the roof. This camera was replaced with a higher-resolution wide-angle Stardot Netcam 2.5XL in 2012. The new camera provides a MUCH wider, larger image as you can see from the size comparison below.
