Plot Overview
Welcome to the world of Martin Tupper. A successful (?) writer living
in New York, he's a divorced guy in his twenties who tends to find himself
in rather, shall we say, riske' situations. The premise of the show, which
originated on Fox in 1987, is that Martin grew up under the effects of
television through the 60s and 70s. In doing so, he absorbed many many
phrases and words from the tv. Consequently, in his current life, his thoughts
are expressed with old movie clips, which makes for a very humorous show.
Most episodes include his ex-wife Judith and his son from the former marriage,
who tends to, shall we say, follow in his father's footsteps at times.
Dream On has appeared on several networks over the years. Like most
of the FoxFlops,
it stuck on FOX for a season. Currently it
airs on Comedy Central at 10pm Eastern Mon. - Thurs. It originated
on HBO, and continues to show (the more risque episodes) on that network.

What I Like About It
Martin Tupper is what every young man wants to be: a very successful
gigalo. It's rare, I think, to find a show that deals with such real emotions
in such a comical way. May the show live on forever. ;)
