6.Cost effective method for SETI
JOSE PEREZ (moonknight1) on Mon, 30 Dec 96 06:18 PST

I concur with the 'of course there's life' argument! But we should
still find a cost effective method in
letting our cosmic cousins (ah..alliterations) know we are here
too. I'd like to suggest a Gigantic solar
powered neon sign and stick it on the moon! Yeah! That'll work
'cause the moon doesn't spin on its
axis so the sign won't fall off perhaps hurling unto the earth and
destroy a city by accident making us
look stoopid in front of our cosmic cousins. Geez! Then they'll
probably try to pull out their seti
programs and hide from us...and then for all intent and purposes we
really will be all alone in the
universe. Holy Quantum leap! Forget the sign! Forget I ever
mentioned it!! ((gulp))
