This is the final time I am going to state CASI's policy on forwarding
Internet Hoaxes. For those of you who no longer participate in this
type of thing I aplogize that you have to hear this rant. My email box
is filling with dozens of these each week. Please do not bother our
organization with these off-subject hoaxes. If these continue to get
forwarded to me or the CASILIST I am going to consider it grounds for
dismissal from CASI anyone who is participating in them.
I have received hundreds of these messages during my 8 years on the
Internet and NEVER has any message that did not originate from someone I
know personally been true. Each one of these messages is perpetrated by
people who would like to bring down the Internet with wastes of
bandwidth by fooling naive Internet users.
PLEASE I beg of you read this site below which is an official site
regarding the fact that all of these types of messages are HOAXES. This
includes EVERY claim of computer or human virii that you have ever been
forwarded. If you cannot find the subject of your forwarded message on
this site, then please search http://www.cnn.com or http://www.cnet.com
for the information before forwarding it ANYWHERE. CNN is not going to
"miss" a worldwide epedemic, trust me.
