Attached is yet another tv company wanting video of severe storms with
tornadoes.
Meantime stay tuned to this message regarding an UNCA-AMS Meeting in
Asheville NC:
Hello Everyone!
Well, spring is just around the corner, and it's time to start thinking
about severe weather. Those of you interested in severe thunderstorms
and
tornadoes will particularly enjoy our next meeting...
Vince DiCarlo will hold a SKYWARN Spotter talk on TUESDAY evening, 7pm,
APRIL 13 in the Highsmith Center Room 18 (old PDR).
I have been to several of these type these talks before, and they are
always interesting. I try to go to one at least every year, to refresh
myself on severe weather.
This is an EXCELLENT oppurtunity to become a registered SKYWARN Spotter
for the National Weather Service! You will become the "eyes and ears" of
the NWS, and may be able to save lives this spring.
I encourage you to invite and friends, family, or general public to this
event/meeting.
Thanks!

dear Jesse,
I hope you can help us. We are a TV company, who are really interested in hearing about your involvement with severe storms.
Let me introduce ourselves. Pioneer productions are a UK based TV production company, specialising in scientific weather documentaries, you may have seen 'Raging Planet' on Discovery or 'Storm Force' on The Learning Channel. You can check out our web page at www.pioneertv.com for more information on who we are.
Our latest venture is 'Tornado!, a four part series for The Learning Channel. This will span topics such as science and research, chasing, survival and a historical look at tornadoes.
Through our long history of producing weather programmes we have built up a relationship of trust with some of the leading chasers and scientists. 'Tornado!' will be produced with the help of top storm chasers including Tim Marshall, Jim Leonard, Val Castor and of respected scientists from the Storm Prediction Center and the NSSL.
Now to come to the point...
We would like to hear from everyone who has any dramatic footage or still photos of tornadoes. We don't want exclusive access to your film, but we will pay you for its use in our programme.
We are also interested in video or photos of lightning, supercells and big hail - in fact we would like to see any severe weather footage at all.
We also want to know if you are chasing this season and would be interested in being filmed in the process to possibly feature in the show. Even if this idea doesn't tickle your fancy we would still like to hear what areas you intend on covering.
If you have any exciting stories of close encounters we would also love to know about them.
Thanks for your attention. I hope you can help us.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Kind regards
Jenny Tiffen and Hannah Liptrot Researchers Tornado!
