Forward from Member Joey Ketcham of KS. This storm system is indeed
powerful enough to have evoked two Tornado Watches for TX this evening.
I saw at least 69dbZ on a radar there earlier. Keep an eye on it with
http://www.intellicast.com/weather/hgx/radsum/
(Although currently I am getting bounced around between two computers in
DC via UUNet and can't get through)

Well, pretty active in Kansas winter wise.  All of SE Kansas has been under
a Winter Storm Warning and we are expecting about 8" of snow by the time the
system passes.  As of right now most roads are pretty bad here in Pittsburg
as ice continues to build up on them.


Ft. Scott Kansas, which is 35 Mile north of me has over 1,000 people without
electricity.  My dad, which works for the KGE Electric Plant here has
already said with the ice building up on the lines and the winds we will
have tomorrow that most of the lines will fall which will cause a shortage
in electric leavings hundreds or thousands without electricity for up to 3
days.


I will keep you all updated if the electricity holds and let you all know.
Also in Eastern Texas they are under a tornado watch with about 4 tornado
warnings right now and 3 svr t-storm warnings which is odd.
