Currently here in Central PA, Heavy Sleet / 16 and rising. I would like to
put some of these observations on the CASI Website at
http://www.weatherwatchers.org/1999/0102/ unless anyone has any objections
to my posting the observations that I have received thus far today. I am
about to retire for the evening, will talk to you all tomorrow.
P.S.: AccuWeather has an excellent and unique Radar Map delineating between
Ice (not just Mixed precip), Rain, and Snow here:

Here is the forecast discussion from the NWS for the neihgboring counties
around me. My county is forecast from a different office, so it is not
icluded with this discussion. We still have icing going on at this time and
the trees are really bending over now. The mountain laurel cant stand
much of this, it is way to brittle to handle the weight. But, more of a
problem are the tall pines that are also brittle and top heavy, I hope they
dont
start falling on power lines. If they do, we are in for one more mess. The
temp is still hanging on to 32 and occasionally hitting 33.
