Well, the front has certainly passed through here... currently it is 16 degrees here (7pm) and the minimum wind chill today was -16 here at CASI HQ. Also check out the 24-hour graph if you get a chance... look at the pressure graph and ponder "hmm... now when did the front come through..." ;) http://www.weatherwatchers.org/wxstation/obs/24hour.jpg Across the nation: Yesterday as the front made it through TX the temperatures at one point in the afternoon ranged from 5 degrees on the northern border of the state to at least 85 in southern TX. This evening the temperature in Memphis TN is 45 degrees lower than 24 hours ago. I also caught this from the PSU pull from the CASI page yesterday at 2pm: Highest Heat Index in Continental US Last Hour: 90.7 F at Mcallen TX Low Wind Chill in Continental US Last Hour: -58.5 F at Minot AFB ND That's quite a range! Well folks I am wrapping up the CASI stuff for the holiday season tonight. I will be making the last couple of Member Page changes that I have this evening. I will be offline for most of the time on Thursday - Sunday. I will be flying into GSO (Greensboro) Thursday morning, so hear's hoping that the TWC forecast of Ice doesn't come true, as it's still another two hours from there to Mom&Dad's house in Wilkes Co., NC. The people who are caring for the house here don't know the computer well so here's also hoping that the WebCam and WeatherStation can stay up for the duration. Member Mark Dale also sends his regards: "We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The Dale Family" Happy Holidays! -- ============================================================== Jesse Ferrell - Meteorologist/Web Dev. - j{at}weatherwatchers.org Central Atlantic Storm Investigators - www.weatherwatchers.org "And here a twister comes... here comes the twister." --Talking Heads || ICQ No. 136832 ||
