All CASI Website and Email addresses To Be Unreachable... Folks, the Internic has chosen to shut down the CASI domain weatherwatchers.org. When I moved here from NC they refused to update my contact information, and they sent the bill to my old addresses in Raleigh. Although I have paid them, they will not restore the domain until at least Friday night. Because of the policies of your individual ISP's, you may not notice the disappearance for a day or two but also may not be able to reach the CASI site or send email to weatherwatchers.org for a period of up to several weeks. I apologize for the problems that this will cause. Unfortunately, I am not surprised at the lack of concern for their customers that Internic has shown - I used to work as an interface between them and an ISP's customers - their lack of technical ability and customer care is astounding. They recognize that they hold a monopoly over Internet Domains, but fortunately this monopoly is slowly being broken up by smaller companies. In preparation for this, you will be able to still read the CASI site at http://209.68.12.39/ And at any time you are not able to reach a page please insert the above numbers *instead* of www.weatherwatchers.org I will be able to be reached at the following address for the next few days: wxwatch{at}scire.pair.com -- ============================================================== Jesse Ferrell - Meteorologist/Web Dev.
