In the spirit of the CASI Tropical Surface Observations Map that I did
last month, I now bring you the CASI Tropical Local Radars Interactive
Map:
Netscape (communicator) 4.0 ONLY:
http://www.weatherwatchers.org/tropical/radar/index1.html
All other Web Browsers:
http://www.weatherwatchers.org/tropical/radar/index2.html
Currently this links to the only source of Mexican Radars and to
Intellicast for US Radars. In the future
I plan to link to various sites providing US radars but I wanted to
start with Intellicast since they are the
most current for free.
Speaking of the tropics, Tropical Storm Hermine is nearing Louisiana
with little force; Hurricane Georges is now at 150mph sustained winds
with gusts to 175mph - a strong Category 4 storm and a rare site in the
Atlantic. The satellite pictures of this are incredible... see
http://www.weatherwatchers.org/tropical/1998/7/ for links to various
satellites.
