Before I send these other messages I want to apologize once again for the CASI site being down this evening. This time it was caused by a massive attack of "network flooding" by hackers which has downed ISPs across the state of PA and likely elsewhere in the NE. So far no one has been able to stop them and more outages may ensue. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Jeff Catlett tipped me off to this one: StormTrack.com is making a "Who's Who" list of Storm Chasers for their website at http://www.storm-track.com/whoswho.htm If you consider yourself a chaser, you'll want to submit some info to the authors at that address so you can be included in this directory. If you can, feel free to mention membership in CASI - the more publicity the better ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. About those raingauges.. I do now have enough orders to satisfy the supplier's requirements, however I have not heard back from the contact there. I will let you know when I do. -Jesse --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. I am on the NC coast and have been through several hurricanes . One as a child , and then several recently. If you'd like any information about what it's like , just let me know what particulars you are looking for. I could talk for hours about it <G>. I hope it's okay that responded in this manner to this posting. Thanks, Tina in NC -- =====
