John McLaughlin from KCCI TV is buying raingauges and if he can get enough orders can get them for $12.50/ea rather than $31.00. These are the 4" gauges which someone at some point told me were "official" but I don't remember who or when. They are the "Professional Rain Gauges" on Page 19 of the Wind&Weather catalog this month. What I can say is that they are great gauges, don't break in winter, and measure to 0.01". Because of the way they are made you can measure frozen precipitation too and rain up to 11". Here is John's message. If you would like to go in on this deal please let ME know and I will tell him how many we have. I will be purchasing a couple for Christmas presents this year and I sure would love to be able to get this deal on them. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Aug 1998 18:39:33 -0500 From: John McLaughlin <johnmc49{at}ECITY.NET>
