Hi folks! I haven't spoken to you in a while. Wanted to update you on a couple things. First, the CASI-NORTH Meeting has been cancelled due to lack of response and in fact was cancelled in the favor of the Eastern Chaser Picnic by Team Hyundai in Meadville PA on Sept. 6, which will probably be co-sponsored by CASI next year. I will certainly be there and I would advise any other CASI Members interested in storm spotting or chasing who can make it to do so. For more information on the Eastern Chaser Picnic please see StormTrack at http://www.storm-track.com/ Next, I have updated a couple of the areas on the CASI Site. A number of you have come up with Live Weather Stations on the Net, which I think is just fantastic. I'd just as soon that we have a huge network of them. The Members that I know of currently who have live updating electronic weather stations on the web are listed at the bottom of the CASI HQ Live Weather Station page at: http://www.weatherwatchers.org/wxstation/liveobs.shtml In addition, I *think* that I have gotten all the people in the CASI Member ICQ List that requested to be added. If I haven't gotten you or there are any errors please contact me. There are quite a few of us on there now! http://www.weatherwatchers.org/members/private/Members_Only/ICQ/ And Last But Not Least, the List of New Members since last posting: Frank Gough Ashland Pa MWST C/O David Moran Tulsa OK Shawn Caldwell Blacksburg Va Victor Jimenez Emerald Isle NC Jimmie Bise, Jr. Waldorf MD Brian Booth Philadelphia PA Ken Hughey Lawrenceville GA Charles Thorne Greenville NC Don Arnold Pascagoula MS Michael J Hitt Florida City FL Gina Peterson Houston TX Tony DiLuzio Erie PA john payne murrells inlet sc James Stein Baltimore MD chas brand brockton ma Matthew Carow East Walpole Ma Jim McClamroch Chapel Hill NC Bill Harrell Cary NC Bill Whisnant Shelby NC -- ============================================================== Jesse Ferrell - Meteorologist/Web Dev. - j{at}weatherwatchers.org Central Atlantic Storm Investigators - www.weatherwatchers.org "They're not who we're looking for; they're just meteorologists- storm chasers." --Peter Watts, "Millennium" || ICQ No. 136832 ||
