That last message with the NY Chase report was from Member Bryan Farr, it struck me (no pun intended) that might not have been clear as his email address and From: header were cropped off somehow. I was contacted this morning by Talk Radio WWBB(?) in Philadelphia this morning for an interview on their morning show but unfortunately I did not get the message in time. I will look into placing my work number on my Public Home Page for times like this and will look into checking my work messages from home or buy an answering system capable of this, as I would always be happy to help educate the public on storm observation and bring the idea of CASI to the (non-internet) public. I have received many StormForm reports from you and have been impressed with the data I have received, it will be very helpful to the web site. I want to remind people again that if you have a Chase Report or Storm Summary to use the StormForm whenever possible in addition to posting to the CASILIST as if you just send it to the CASILIST I have to first ask for permission to use it then reformat it. I am also looking into partially automating the posting procedure. Also Please Remember to address your CASILIST posts to CASILIST{at}weatherwatchers.org or I will have to ask permission to use your material and that will slow the process down. You should be able to judge what would be appropriate by past postings (about anything ;)) I get a couple hundred messages a day addressed to j{at}weatherwatchers.org so if you want the whole list to see it I need you to address it to casilist{at}weatherwatchers.org so that I can just bounce it quickly to the list. Now needless to say I am trying to get a report up on the CASI site for these storms but I'm operating today on 3 hours of sleep and it's looking like an exciting day again tomorrow so it's slow going. For a summary of the storms you can visit CNN's site: http://www.cnn.com/US/9806/01/storm.roundup/ MODERATE RISK AGAIN: Parts of the Mid and North CASI area will be under the gun again tomorrow before residents have had a chance to clean up or even have their power restored. A strong jet stream will act with a surface low and strong temperature gradient again tomorrow to bring Severe Storms to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. At this time the SPC has issued a MODERATE RISK for Severe Thunderstorms for E. VA, E. MD, and SE PA. The rest of the mid-atlantic states are under a Slight Risk. As always, for the SPC graphics and other companies' take on the severe predictions, see the quick look page at http://casi.simplenet.com/j/oldsite/wx/severe.html The SPC notes that Supercell storms and Tornadoes will be the main threat. -- ============================================================== Jesse Ferrell - Meteorologist/Web Dev. - j{at}weatherwatchers.org Central Atlantic Storm Investigators - www.weatherwatchers.org "And here a twister comes... here comes the twister." --Talking Heads || ICQ No. 136862 || --------------------------------------------------------------------- ************************************************* Central Atlantic Storm Investigators Mailing-List To Post: casilist{at}weatherwatchers.org To Cancel: lists-admin{at}weatherwatchers.org Archive: /members/casilist *************************************************
