CASILIST : HQ May Be Unreachable This Week
From: J <j{at}weatherwatchers.org>
Date: Tue, 12 May 1998 21:36:13 -0400
Due to continued crashing of the HQ computer and a lack of a backup
system as we teeter on the brink of losing 4 GB of programs, research,
and weather data downloaded for the past several years, HeadQuarters and
Jesse Ferrell may be unreachable this week. In addition to our problems
here, our Internet Service provider requires between 50 and 200 redials
to get past their busy signals on average at any time of the day. The
CASICAM and CASI1 Weather Station will stop updating to the Internet
effective tonight and will not be back until further notice.
I apologize for the delay this will cause for updates to the website and
Member Services.
