Tonight marks the anniversary of the midpoint of the Super Outbreak in
1974. The most famous and damaging tornado outbreak in history, it
stretched from 12pm on 4/3/74 to 7am 4/4/74. It covered a large part of
the eastern US (13 states) and spawned 148 tornados in 24 hours, at
least 6 of which were F5. 315 people were killed; 6,142 injured.
Damage was over $600 million dollars.

Even worse, two months later, I was born ;)
