While we missed the hail here in Altoona(same story as last year, State
College got all the heavy stuff <G>, we did get an early treat to several
embedded storms buried in the AM mush today. Between 11:15 AM and 11:45 two
quick moving cells cut across the Altoona area with a couple of good CG's,
I would guess the one to our North was your hailer J. Unfortunately a
traffic accident and as usual being in the wrong place at the wrong time
prevented me from getting to a good vantage point till too late, (NO IO
wasn't involved in the accident, but the main entrance of the Logan Valley
Mall is a lousy observation area.....
And again as usual, I was apparently too late into Happy Valley, hit State
College about 2:15 this after...:)
Hopefully the weather is an indicator of things to come, and hopefully my
timing improves in the next couple months!!
Bud
