All times EST:
Well the snow finally is falling in eanest at AOO. The 'official'
snowfall from KAOO at 2300 was 2 inches, from my location ~6 miles
NE of the city we're looking at 1.5 inches. Baro continues to drop
down from 1001 at 1700 to it's present 990 while the temp continues
to hang around 28F. Made it home without any major occurences though
what traffic there is is moving a bit slower...
NWS is sticking with their original 8-12 inches across the area in
the 2230 nowcast but the last area discussion from NWS-UNV was 1938.
Snowfall rate has been better than an inch/hr here the last hour or
so and still seems to be hanging in. 2300 IPT nexrad has some +30 dbz
echos still heading for Blair so it looks like a bit more to wring
out.
TWC has backed us down to 1-3 and WJAC-TV Johnstown is down from "up
to 2' " to "around 6" "

2) Sit around and wait for it to sneak up on us....
