I could see some bits of that from my location, but not very well. I
came home sick around 7. I left the office at 7 and could see a CB
sitting there 40 miles away to the SW. I wondered that with the
strong cap, even though CAPE was around 5000 would the storm be
strong enough to.....

I started the truck, turned on the AC and waited for the cooldown. (
I'm actually sick from dehydration from the upset stomach I've had
for 36 hours) I look at the CB and it BLASTS through the cap. I watch
in sheer amazement as the storm exploded up..UP....**U P** !
I watch the storm grow, and by the time (<15 minutes) there's a nice
anvil. I get my large Gatorade at The Pantry and call the CAE
office. They hadn't noticed the explosive growth. I got home and
drank the entire quart, and decided I needed another one. They issue
a warning for this one saying "this is a particularly dangerous
storm". It was moving 10 MPH. I got my second gatorade and it had
gotten to look like some of the pictures Cliff showed and had
knuckles. Made sure I wasn't in TX or OK....nope ....West Columbia,
SC. This storm went through parts of Aiken and Northern Barnwell
counties. The moment the sun went down, so did it. I would actually
have missed this if I had NOT been sick. Feeling better today. I felt
to bad to even get cameras and try pictures....
