As of late Tuesday morning, EDT, a new tropical depression is
plying the waters of the eastern North Pacific Ocean. The depression
holds highest sustained winds of 35 mph about a center which is 690
miles south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; it is moving towards
the west at 14 mph. The cyclone is forecast to strengthen, thereby
becoming a named tropical storm, during the next 24-36 hours, but its
projected west-northwestward course is over open seas.
