Late Friday morning, EDT, Typhoon Matsa is bearing down upon
eastern mainland China from the East China Sea. Matsa is centered
about 235 miles to the south of Shanghai, China. Moving towards the
northwest at 13 mph, the storm has highest sustained winds of 85 mph.
Matsa will land in eastern China's province of Zhejiang late Friday
afternoon, then rapidly weaken on its northwestward heading once
inland.
