Date: Sat Jul 09 2005 - 18:05:05 EDT
What was left of TS Cindy passed through my area (Mercerville, NJ,
near Trenton) yesterday and caused a few notable events:
1. A new record low high temperature for my location for the entire
month of July (5 years of records) was set. We hit a high of 63
degrees, which is 22 degrees below normal. It was 4 degrees BELOW
our normal LOW for the day.
2. My location recorded 2.56" of rain in 24 hours. A new record for
the date, but not for the month.
3. In the afternoon, my average wind speed from Noon until 5:00 PM
was 23 MPH, and we had a gust to 41 MPH. Unfortunately, I only
started recording wind speed a few months ago, so I can't say it was
a record average for July, but my wide GUST record for July is 68
MPH, so that was no record.
Now awaiting the remnants of Hurricane Dennis. I wish anyone in its
path the best of luck.
Eric
