Greetings Weatherbuffs,

It may be June, but Colorado is getting snow today! A strong upper-level low is crossing the state today, bringing chilly temperatures, rain and snow to Colorado. This is after severe storms battered Denver yesterday afternoon with pea-sized hail and torrential rains. The temperature at my home station in Elizabeth (elev. 6,695 feet), has not risen above 43F. Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin ski areas are reporting snow and strong winds. The fooothills west of Denver above 7,500 feet are expecting 2-5" of snow by tonight. Winter Weather Advisories are posted for the Colorado mountains through this afternoon.

On another subject, I've posted some recent storm chase pictures on my web site. Click http://www.weatherbuff.com/stormchasing.htm to access the page with thumbnails and larger versions of some action near Limon and Aurora, Colorado this week.

Cheers,
Steve Hamilton
