Nesat is now a growing typhoon over the southeastern Philippine
Sea. Late Wednesday morning, EDT, the center of Typhoon Nesat is 130
miles northeast of Yap Island and about 410 miles west-southwest of
Agana, Guam. With top sustained winds of 75 mph, Nesat is moving
westward at 18 mph. Nesat is forecast to intensify and to take on a
northwestward heading towards the middle Philippine Sea during the
next 2-3 days.

days. Tuesday, for example, saw Monterrey jump to 103 degrees. This
was the third straight day to surpass the 100-degree mark. Late May
has an average daily high in the upper 80s here.
