>"A possible tornado hammered through Yazoo County on Saturday night,
>knocking down trees, ripping off roofs and forcing vehicles off roads, an
>emergency official said. Yazoo County was among several areas of the
>state under tornado watches and warnings that started Saturday afternoon
>and lasted through the night. Storms dropped hail as big as golf balls and
>snapped trees and power lines throughout the area. The roof was blown off
>Morning Star Baptist Church and windows were blown out of the back of the
>building, Fisher said. Several trees also were down near the church, he said."
>"Funnel clouds, flurries of hail and flooded roads were all part of a
>strong storm that crashed through Putnam County and most of North Florida
>on Friday.
>
>Jim Boone, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in
>Jacksonville, said he had received several reports of funnel clouds in the
>Palatka and East Palatka areas and a water spout over Lake Broward in
>Pomona Park."
