just off mainland northern Australia on Sunday, EST. Ingrid has
weakened since Saturday with sustained winds down to 110 mph. Tropical
Cyclone Ingrid will continue to weaken gradually as the storm passes
over the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. A potential landfall with the
northeastern coast of Western Australia can occur late Tuesday or
Wednesday.
and Melville on Sunday. Highs winds were well above 100 mph right
along the path of Ingrid`s eye. A significant amount of rain did fall
upon these islands.
Western Australia on Sunday afternoon, EST. This storm was heading
toward the west-southwest and weakening with sustained winds of 60
mph. Further weakening and a mostly westerly path is foreseen for the
next few days with no threat to land.
western North Pacific. Sunday afternoon, EST found the depression
centered 310 miles south of Guam and moving toward the west-northwest
at 15 mph. This storm will threaten the small island of Yap on Tuesday
before heading toward the Philippines later in the week.
40 degrees above normal again with a reading of 55 degrees.
