Member Joshua Kelly from Weathergeek.net, near Biloxi, MS, pointed out that
the Gulf Coast has gotten quite a dose of rain this week. He says "I
recorded a whopping 6.19 inches of pretty heavy rain associated with the
low in the Gulf."

Indeed much of southern Louisiana and Mississippi have received over 6
inches this week, with up to 4 inches in 24 hours. I have uploaded some
Doppler-Estimated Precip maps of this event here:
