QUOTES:
"Freezing rain and sleet spread sheets of ice across parts of the Southeast
on Saturday, shutting down every Interstate highway in the Atlanta area and
canceling hundreds of commercial airline flights.

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, most morning flights
were canceled as crews worked to sand and salt runways and access roads.
Only one runway was open by midday."

As ice accumulated on power lines and tree limbs, more than 52,000 homes
and business were without electricity around Georgia, utilities said."
