 From the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Virginia...

"In Lynchburg...where temperature records go back to 1893...the 1st
through the 14th of January were the warmest on record. The average
monthly temperature through the 14th of January was 51.8 degrees.
The previous warmest on record was 51.5...set in 1907.

The same is likely true also for Roanoke...Blacksburg...Danville...
and Bluefield..."
