Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the wind tunnel of the mid Atlantic.
May turned out to be breezy, warm (second warmest May on record), and wet
(third wettest May on record). This spring also ended up as one of the warmest and
wettest on record. After a couple of wild months June is starting off on a
welcomed quiet note. Yesterday at 2:30 PM the wind gusted out of the NW at 53
mph. Some of my siding was blown off. I can have numerous 60 and 70 mph gusts and
nothing major happens to my homestead in the hills. And then a gentle (for up
here) spring zephyr allows my siding to fly across the yard. Go figure. Today
was much better when at 6:07 PM the wind 'only' gusted to 50 mph. Both storms
had neither thunder nor lightning. Quite interesting. The spring recap will
follow this email. Until later................
   Jim
