QUOTES:
"A 21-year-old man died after a utility pole apparently was snapped by a
mud slide in McKeesport, causing transformers mounted on the pole to fall
on his car.

Misura apparently had just finished work at the facility and entered his
Chevrolet Cavalier when the transformers fell on the roof of his car, said
Joe Balaban, a Duquesne Light Co. spokesman. The accident occurred after a
"huge amount of earth and debris" came down a hillside behind the
restaurant and put pressure on a guy wire bracing the pole, causing a
20-foot section of the pole to break off, the spokesman said.

Mud slides and flooding were reported throughout the region yesterday after
1 1/2 to 3 inches of rain fell in many areas over a 36-hour period. Many
small creeks went over their banks, low-lying areas were flooded and
"basements were flooded all over," Visneski said. All told, about 10 mud
slides were reported around the city, an unusually high number for this
time of year, he said."

QUOTES:
"PITTSBURGH -- Landslides are causing a problem in parts of the Channel 11
viewing area. Pittsburgh Public Works crews went door-to-door Wednesday in
Troy Hill searching for damage. The rain is causing flooding in the city of
Pittsburgh, too. The Monongahela River spilled its banks overnight,
flooding the parking spaces on the Mon Wharf. And in downtown Pittsburgh,
the fountain at Point State Park was under water as well."
