Blizzard leaves 50,000 without power
AP AP

Tuesday, December 23, 2003
Nearly 50,000 people were without power in Sweden after a winter storm with
high winds dumped snow in the southern and central portions of the country.
Heavy winds knocked out power as the storm swept across the country Sunday
and Monday. Flights from Stockholm's Arlanda airport were delayed for about
an hour and trains across the country were either canceled or delayed.
Several ferries had trouble docking because of the wind, but no injuries
were reported.
