I live in Silver Creek, GA. Strong winds from 40-50mph moved through my area
around 8:30 this evening downing trees and blowing Christmas
lights/decorations off houses. The weather system was a thin band of rain/snow mix that almost
resembled a squall line, I even saw what appeared to be lightning! Even though
tempeatures are in the upper 30s. As the band continued southward on the west
side of Atlanta, there were several reports of several signs down and an
awning blown off a building.
