The Western Carolinas and NE Georgia are also under wind warnings and
advisories. As of 5AM today, Boone, N.C. had recorded a wind gust of 56MPH, while
Jefferson, N.C. had clocked in a gust of 49MPH. Tallulah Falls, Georgia had
recorded a gust of 40MPH. Not far away, Lakemont checked in with a 44MPH gust.
According to the NWS, these speeds will increase throughout the day. It's
about time we had a little weather....has been a very boring autumn in this neck
of the woods! Hold on to your hats, and have a great day.
