"Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 13:05 JST
MIYAZAKI Strong winds, apparently the product of a tornado, damaged dozens
of houses in the city of Nobeoka in Miyazaki Prefecture, southwestern
Japan, on Sunday morning, but no one was injured, police said.

Sudden gusts occurred about 1 kilometer south of Minami-Nobeoka Station of
the JR Nippo Line at around 4 a.m., shattering the windows of 17 houses and
blowing tin tiles off their roofs, they said. (Kyodo News)"
