[STORMREPORTS] Big Waves & Isabel Webcams

The NWS reports this morning:

SEAS OF 13 FT WERE BEING REPORTED AT FRYING PAN SHOALS. SEAS ARE
EXPECTED TO BUILD UP TO 22 FT BY THURSDAY MORNING ALONG THE NORTH
CAROLINA COASTAL WATERS...

AccuWeather was predicting waves above 20 feet for most of the Carolina &
VA coast yesterday and the Weather Channel mentioned 30 foot waves for the
same area last night.

Many of the webcams on the North Carolina coast are disappearing due to
evacuations & folks boarding up... my two best bets at this time are:

http://www.avalonpier.com/streamwaves.html
http://www.wrightsville.com/bchcam.htm

You may not be able to see either of the above through a corporate
firewall. The waves on the latter cam are not huge yet but it's windy
there and spray is blowing off the tops of the waves.

As you get further north, and for other North Carolina cams, visit our
WeatherCams page at:
