Veracruz, Mexico has been doused by heavy rain over the last few
days. Rainfall from Thursday to Sunday afternoon totaled nearly 6
inches.
Heavy rains underpinned by thunderstorms lately pelted northeastern
China and western North Korea. Dandong, China, had 6.1 inches of
rain, mostly within 24 hours ended Monday morning. In North Korea,
rainfall within two to three days included: Kusong, 7.4 inches, and
Anju and Sinuiju, 6.7". Monday alone, 4.2 inches of rain doused Haeju.
Lately its been hot much of the time over northern Europe.

Wroclaw and Poznan, and 91 at Lodz. Monday, Warsaw (or Warszawa),
flirted with 90 degrees whereas the mean daily high was 74.
High heat and humidity has been unyielding over the southern
two-thirds of China. Monday, Lishui, in Zhejiang, had its 25th day of
at least 100 degrees so far this month. The other three days all
reached 99. The monthly mean high is about 95 degrees. At Shanghai,
Monday's 100-degree mid-afternoon heat was steamy enough for apparent
temperatures of 110 to 120 degrees.
Strong sunshine and a westerly downsloping wind off the Andes
contributed to unusual mid-winter warmth in Comodoro Rivadavia,
Argentina this weekend. On Saturday, the mercury rose to 69 degrees,
followed by 67 degrees Sunday. These temperatures were about
20 degrees above the average.
An outburst of heavy rain struck western India Sunday and Sunday
night. The state of Gujarat bore the brunt of these rains: at Surat,
rainfall was 11.3 inches within 24 hours. Also in this western state,
Rajkot had 7.9 inches, and Bhuj, 5.2.
