A lot of people here in South Central PA have been asking me why nothing
materialized on Sunday. I'm only a spotter, not a meteorologist, so all I
can offer is a theory. It appeared around 1 or 2 pm that the approaching
cold front had stalled momentarily over Western PA, and without the upper
level jet to interact with what convection was taking place here, the
would-be storms simply collapsed. Thw wind gusts we did pick up from time to
time did have the signature of collapsing storms. Perhaps Jesse or someone
from the SPC could weigh in and tell me if I'm on the right track or not....
always willing to learn something new. Thanx
