"A tornado touched down northeast of Denver International Airport at about
11:15 a.m. today. There was no word of damage. A tornado warning was in
effect for Denver and Adams County through 12:30 p.m.

The warning for North Central Adams County went through 11:30 a.m.

An Adams County sheriff's deputy spotted the tornado, according to
department spokesman Craig Coleman.

The DIA command center told NEWS4 the tornado was on the ground moving away
from the airport. The airport was on alert and sirens were sounded, but
planes were still moving, NEWS4 reports.

Large-sized hail and heavy rain was embedded in the storm cell, according
to NEWS4 meteorologist Jennifer Zeppelin."
