At 0800 this date, the Morristown NWS (KMOR) was calling for at least one inch accumulation of snow, especially in the higher elevations, with rain and snow mixed likely in other areas.
As of 1345, skies were partly cloudy with no precepitation.
While the forecast was not exactly correct, lines at the supermarkets were predictable, as people bought that delicious Kerns Bread and tasty Mayfield milk and soft-as-silk Charmin by the cart-full. Now, its not that those guys in Morristown don't know what they are doing. Don't get me wrong. But I also noted that the local hardware store is looking to hire salesmen. The sale of nails and roofing could be a boom business if those guys went to work part-time.
