Southern and Eastern Ontario are under a HEAVY SNOWFALL WARNING today.
Snowfall amounts of 15 - 25 cm are expected across the entire region with
pockets of freezing rain along the lower Great Lakes.
Thus far snowfall amounts in eastern Ontario range from 10 - 15 cm but the
heavy snow continues to fall and will do so for at least another 5 - 7
hours. Behind this is a ridge of colder Arctic air expected to bring
overnight temperatures down to -17ºC which is still much better than last
weeks -30ºC and wind chills of -45ºC.
