Well, today brought a mixture of feelings to Meteorology majors at
Purdue University, W. Lafayette, IN. We were under an Ice Storm
Warning which was later downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory due
to the lack of significant moisture to produce the Freezing Rain.
Tonight the moisture has built back and has turned to snow. We were
just put under a Winter Storm Warning with up to 8" possible. So
far, we have near 3" with rates over 1"/hour. Many accidents have
occured and more are sure to happen. Stay tuned for more info. Ryan
